The Metropolitan Waste Management Group (MWMG) provides support to member Councils wanting to improve their waste management operations. The MWMG does this by facilitating the sharing of experiences of member Councils about what works and doesn't work, by undertaking investigations and research on behalf of groups of member Councils and by providing advice and training to member Councils.

Litter contains links, tools, resources and information on the networks run by the MWMG to assist member Councils to implement best practice in litter prevention and to work together to secure external funding.
